Cake and Google Calendar
Cake is booking software for tattoo artists. Google Calendar is optional. Connect it when you want Cake to check your schedule and keep confirmed Cake sessions in one separate calendar.
Booking stays in the artist's hands
Cake keeps the tattoo booking loop together: a client sends a request, the artist decides, the client chooses an offered time, and the confirmed session stays with its deposit and consent record. Connecting Google Calendar helps the artist see where that session fits. It never lets Google decide what gets booked.
Read your schedule. Write only Cake's calendar.
The artist chooses the calendars Cake checks. Cake keeps its own booked sessions in a separate calendar, so access has a clear boundary.
Read calendars you choose
Cake reads busy times and event names to show conflicts in the artist's private Studio.
Write Cake sessions
Cake creates this secondary calendar and adds, updates, or removes only Cake session events there.
Cake does not add, change, or delete events on calendars the artist created.
What happens to Google Calendar data
- Event names appear only in the artist's private Studio. Clients never see them.
- Cake does not send event names to logs or analytics and does not use Google Calendar data for advertising.
- Cake does not use a cached event name after 60 seconds. Changing selected calendars or disconnecting clears that cache.
- The full storage and recovery behavior is documented in Cake's privacy policy.
The artist stays in control
The artist can change which calendars Cake checks or disconnect Google Calendar from Cake Studio. Disconnecting stops access, clears the connection, and makes a best-effort attempt to delete the Cake sessions calendar from Google.
