The studio has a dark mode

Choose Light, Dark or Automatic in Settings. Cake also sends you a test alert on request, and Chat says why it can't send a reply.

The studio has a dark mode

  • The studio has a dark mode in Cake's slate. It follows your phone or computer.
  • To choose for yourself, open Settings and pick Automatic, Light or Dark under Appearance. It changes on the tap. Each device keeps its own choice.
  • Clients still see your page, emails and request form in light.

Send yourself a test alert

  • Home has a card, Get Cake's alerts in your inbox. Press Send a test alert.
  • Cake emails the test from the address your request alerts come from. If it lands in Promotions or spam, move it to your inbox. Gmail learns from that move.
  • The card leaves Home after your first test. The same button sits in Settings, Notifications, under Email alerts.

Chat says why a reply can't send

  • When Cake can't send a Chat reply, the message box says why and your words stay editable.
  • Chat reaches clients by email. For a person you added with a phone number and no email, it says "Cake has no email for Sam, so it can't send this."
  • Your phone keyboard stays open while a message sends.

Clients can ask for texts on the request form

  • The request form has a box, "Text me booking reminders and updates." Cake sends no texts yet. Sending starts when the phone carriers approve Cake's number.
  • Texts go to US numbers. A client who ticks the box with another number sees "Cake texts US numbers only."
  • When a client says no to texts on a later request, the no stands.

Your Day One Deal is in Settings

  • Cake's ten founding artists see Your Day One Deal at the bottom of Settings. It opens your plan.
  • Automated messages has the same cards and spacing as the Settings list.
  • A reminder reads Not sent only when every copy failed. A corrected reminder that went out after you stopped it or moved the session reads Sent.
  • A new reminder time reaches people you archived too.
  • On a reminder's words, a screen reader announces the visible Save bar alone.
