Week view shows each session as a card

Calendar's Week view shows each session as a card with the request's art, and Day and Month return to today in one tap. A client who paid you directly can report the deposit on any visit to her pay page.

Week view shows each session as a card

Open Calendar and tap Week. Each session is a card:

  • the start time in large type, the end beneath it
  • the client's name, with the length and the piece
  • the request's art at the right, or the client's initial when the request has none

Tap a card to open the session. A Google event that holds your time is a dashed amber band labelled BUSY · GOOGLE. It shows the event's name with its start and end, and tapping it opens nothing. A working day with nothing on it reads Open, and a day you do not work reads Day off, above any Google band. Each day heading runs a thin line to the right edge. Today's is purple. On the day strip, a purple dot marks a day with a session and a gold dot marks a day with a Google event that affects your availability. A Free Google event draws no gold dot.

In Day and Month, a Today button appears beside the arrows when you move away from today. Tap it to return.

A client who paid can report the deposit on any visit

A client who paid you directly opens her link again, in a new tab or on another phone. She picks her time and payment method and presses I sent the deposit. Above the button:

  • where to pay
  • the amount
  • the reference code

Before, the button stayed grey until she opened the payment link in that tab, and a returning client landed on the payment link again.

You still confirm the deposit before the time locks in.

Every Quick add request gets its own reference code

A request's reference code is set when the request is created and never changes. Before, every Quick add request showed CAKE-ARTIS, and two Quick add clients who paid you directly wrote the same code. The same code shows on:

  • the request page
  • the pay page
  • Almost booked
  • the request in Studio, after she reports the deposit

A request whose client already reported a deposit keeps the code she reported. A Quick add request with no deposit reported moves off CAKE-ARTIS to its own code.

Declined and cancelled requests keep their conversation open

After you decline or cancel a request, the client can still write to you. The email for a message you send after the close keeps its "Write back to [your first name]" button, which opens the request page with its message box. A reply to that email lands in the same conversation. Messages from before the close stay hidden, and the request stays declined or cancelled. Nothing books.

Your Google Calendar notes stay when Cake moves a session

Available to artists who have connected Google Calendar.

Open a Cake session in Google Calendar and write your own lines under the line that ends "Anything you write below it is yours". When you reschedule the session in Cake, the description shows the new time above that line, and your lines and your color stay as you left them. Before, lines saved in Google's web editor left the old time in the description after a reschedule.

  • When the confirmation email cuts a long confirmation note, the note ends with "This email shows the start of the note." and a button that reads Open your appointment page.
  • In Studio, a line that asks for another try ends "Try again." and the line under times that moved reads "These times moved. Look again." The confirmation note help under Reminders and messages reads "Clients read all of it on their booking page when they're booked." Under Availability and calendar, "How Cake uses Google Calendar" says Cake tries one time to delete only the calendar it can prove it created. The sign-in code email says the code works one time and expires in 10 minutes. On the client's request page, a client who sends too many messages in a row reads "Too many tries in a short time. Wait a few minutes, then try again."
