Write your confirmation note

Clients who book read your confirmation note on their booking page and in the confirmation email. Your notes and messages to a client now hold up to 20,000 characters.

Write your confirmation note

Tap your avatar, then Reminders and messages. Your confirmation note sits under Your approval note. Write what a client needs when they book:

  • your address
  • parking
  • what to bring

Then tap Save changes.

After a client books, their booking page shows your note under "A note from" and your first name, below the calendar buttons. A long note folds behind Read it. The confirmation email carries the note under its button.

Line breaks stay. Links, web addresses, and email addresses can't go in; Save changes shows a line under the box and keeps your words.

You write one confirmation note for all your clients. Clients already booked see your latest version on their booking page. A sent email keeps its words. With no note saved, the page and the email carry no note.

Write up to 20,000 characters to a client

Each of these now takes up to 20,000 characters:

  • your approval note
  • your confirmation note
  • a question to a client
  • the message you send with a decline
  • the message you send with a cancellation
  • a chat message

Except for a question, which arrives whole, the email for a long message shows its start and a button to read the rest.

  • Google Calendar keeps a title you changed on older sessions too, as it does on newer ones. A title Cake already reset stays reset.
  • On a phone, the Google Calendar and Apple / Outlook buttons on a client's booking page stack full width and fit the screen.
  • A declined request's page now reads "[your first name] isn't taking this one on." A cancelled request's page reads "This one is cancelled."
  • A message you send after you decline or cancel a request now shows on the client's request page.
  • Your public page no longer shows the card processing line under Request a booking.
  • If your connection drops while you press Request an invite on the sign-in page, the button stops saying Sending… and a line asks you to press it again. What you typed stays.
  • Waitlist emails no longer wait on verification. If you haven't verified your email, yours opens with your handle and a Verify my email button.
  • On cake.ink/welcome, a handle you claimed but haven't verified shows one step left, and you can ask for the verify link again.
  • On cake.ink/welcome, the founders wall switch says so when a save fails, and the line under the story card reads only "Pre-made with your handle and claim number."
